The University of Rochester Men’s Basketball Team rallied past the University of Chicago 77-76 in epic fashion earlier today. In a game that consisted of 27 combined turnovers, 51 three point attempts, 121 total field goal attempts, and 2 buzzer beaters, the Yellowjackets managed to pull out a huge win. With Rochester up 3 and time nearly expiring, Rochester native, McQuaid alumni and current U Chicago Sophomore, Jake Fenlon hit a game tying three pointer to send the game to overtime. After some back and forth in the OT period, it all came down to Junior Sam Borst-Smith, who needed to miss a free throw, get the rebound, and manage to score a basket (or find a teammate to do so) in just 2 seconds in order to either win the game or force a 2nd overtime.

The video below says it all…Truly unbelievable.

Credit the basket to Junior Mack Montague with an assist to Borst-Smith. Absolutely awesome stuff. Check out the full recap of the game here.
